What to Expect When Visiting Our Services

We have been described as "rediculously friendly" and welcoming!

Our Services

From 9.00am, a dedicated team of volunteers help to set up the hall and class rooms in preparation for the morning’s service. There is a welcoming team, audio-visual team and worship team that take care of their respective areas, such as the information point and sound checks. The Catering team ensures that we can start the morning with a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Worship

Worship

Our morning services are friendly and informal, starting at 10.30am with a short scripture and a prayer, followed by about 25-30 minutes of contemporary worship. We highly value having a real encounter with God through intimate worship, so this is a really precious time to draw near to God.

Coffee Break

Coffee Break

After worship we break for 10 minutes for a time of fellowship, with lots of excellent coffee, tea, an assortment of cakes and plenty of people tp talk to.

After the break, the children go to their respective groups and there will be a short period of announcements.

Bible Teaching

Bible Teaching

Following the break, there will be a teaching from the Bible that will challenge us to grow in our faith and understanding, to develop greater intimacy with God and to take hold of our own sense of calling and purpose within God’s kingdom.

Ministry Time

Ministry Time

The service will draw to a close with a time of ministry where people will be invited to receive prayer. This is an opportunity to respond to the message, or to receive prayer for any specific needs you may have.
After the service there is plenty of time to chat to someone or connect with the welcome team at the information point.

Babies, Children & Teenagers

Young Vineyard is a place for kids to learn and experience faith in Jesus in fun and exciting ways. We have 3 groups: First Fruits are for babies, Tooty Fruitys are for toddlers and children up to 8. Fruit Bursts are for the old children from 9 onward. Currently the older teenagers join the adults in the main service. As a young church, we have lots of families, so if you are looking for a church and have young children, you will feel right at home.

As a church, we are growing up with our children and in the near future we will also have a youth group for teenagers to engage with their faith in relevant and meaningful ways.

A Place To Belong

If you are looking for a church and want to find out if the Vineyard is the right place for you, or if you want to know more about the Vineyard, join us for an evening with some of the leaders. We will share a brief history of the Vineyard, our own story as a church in Yeovil, and our vision for the future. Contact us
